Email Accounts Hosted by Softex Now SSL Enabled
Good Day everybody,
in the last couple of days many of our servers were attacked by Cyber criminals on several of our clients Hosting accounts, the Attack was simple they hacked into several of our customers computers , sneaked out the credentials of some of their email boxes and used their email boxes to send massive amount of spam emails. Such huge volume of sending emails via accounts caused our security system to simply Suspend the hosting accounts until further notice.
After reviewing the issues with our security team we have decided to Enable SSL Protection on every Email connection opened to our server , this means that you will not be able to configure your email client to connect to your email box unless you are using SSL Encryption for both incoming and outgoing credentials, this might provide a very efficient way for protecting your Hosting and email account from compromising your password in the future.
Please find below screen shot about how your Email configuration should be Configured to use SSL in outlook, if you are using other email clients , please contact Softex Software House Support Team from 9 to 5 and they will be happy to provide you with all the support you need.
